| AAA Girls Notes | We have the reigning 3200-meter state champ and PIAA 3200m record holder, as well as the 2021 PIAA XC runner-up, Logan St. John Kletter, competing against Olivia Cieslak, the reigning 800-meter and 1600-meter state champ, on a 5k course. This race is a fan’s dream. A fast pace benefits Kletter, while a slow pace benefits Cieslak. Ella Woehlcke also has the ability to be a contender in this race. With the WPIAL finals being a state-caliber race, there are several girls who can come home with a medal from Hershey on Saturday. I believe we could come home with a minimum of 10. The North Allegheny girls will be looking to bring home their 9th PIAA girls XC championship. |
