Ryan Pajak (Ringgold) is the second male cross-country state champion in school history, but he is the first to win a 5k race. Mel Boyd won the PIAA title in 1972 when the race was only a 3k distance.
Drew Griffith (Butler) is the third male athlete to win a Cross Country state championship, following in the footsteps of his former teammate CJ Singleton (2021).
Logan St. John Kletter (Mt. Lebanon) was the PIAA runner-up in 2021, and in 2023, she became the first Mt. Lebanon female to win a state championship.
The Hampton boys became the eighth WPIAL AA boys team to bring home a PIAA team state championship.
