What’s your go-to pre-race meal, and how does it fuel your performance?
Typically, the night before a race, I eat spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread to carb-load. On the morning of the race, I always have oatmeal with toast.
What’s the most valuable life lesson distance running has taught you?
Distance running has taught me that success is not linear and that discipline is more powerful than motivation every time.
What’s the best piece of advice a coach has ever given you?
My coach always told my team that if we didn’t want to do it for ourselves, we should do it for our teammates. It really taught us that we’re not just running for ourselves, but for each other.
