What is your pre-race routine?
My pre-race routine starts with making sure I’m well-hydrated, especially after a long bus ride. I always begin with two laps at 80% speed to warm up, followed by both standing and sitting stretches. Once those are complete, I move on to plyometrics and dynamic warmups. If I get the chance, I like to do at least six block starts to get fully prepared.
How do you stay motivated during tough training sessions?
I stay motivated during tough workouts by reminding myself that the goals I want to achieve won’t be handed to me—I have to earn them. I see it as struggling now to succeed later. Pushing through the hard moments is what separates great athletes from the rest.
What are your goals for this season?
My goals for this season are to run a 10.30 in the 100m, win WPIAL and States, and ultimately become an All-American.
