What race or performance stands out as your best hurdling moment so far?
My TSTCA final in the 60-meter hurdles stands out as my best hurdling moment so far. It was my first race after coming back from an injury, and I was able to battle back, be competitive, and set a PR at the same time.

What’s your biggest motivation to keep improving?
My biggest motivation is overcoming physical and mental challenges while continuing to improve and break my personal records. Being part of a team and striving for excellence also inspires my determination to continually get better.

Is there a former WPIAL Track & Field athlete you look up to? If so, why?
It’s hard for me to pick just one WPIAL athlete I look up to. Coach Elizabeth Kline was a standout hurdler at Upper St. Clair and has meant so much to me in my development. I’ve always looked up to Amy Allen because she really set the standard in the events I compete in at my school. Finally, my sister, Melana Schumaker—she showed me that hard work, dedication, and overcoming challenges lead to success.
