What inspired you to start sprinting, and how did you get involved in track and field?
My friends inspired me to start sprinting. A friend from college said he thought I might get recognized more by doing track, and that it could possibly carry over to football—especially in terms of scholarship opportunities.
What are your personal goals for this track season?
My personal goal for this track season is to place at states. I’ve only run one meet so far, where I took first place in every event with very good times—but I know I can run even faster.
Describe the 100-meter dash using just one word.
The one word I would use to describe the 100-meter dash is thrilling.
