How Are NixonTFXC Team Rankings Created?
Milesplit XC Virtual Meet – Uses 2024 times with projected 2025 rosters and reviews their list. One limitation is that not all teams are placed in the correct classification, as they are often set according to track and field classifications rather than cross country. 2024 WPIAL Finals Review – Analyzes results from the 2024 WPIAL Finals, removes graduating seniors from the Class of 2025, and projects updated meet results. Freshmen, transfers, and track and field times are not factored into these rankings. The first list is always the hardest to make because every year is different—runners improve, freshmen arrive and make an impact, and you never know who will step up and surprise the WPIAL.
NixonTFXC is not affiliated with the WPIAL or PIAA. These rankings reflect my personal opinions and are intended to promote and highlight the sport for parents, fans, athletes, and coaches.
